Your sh*t tells more about you than you think

A study published on 5/15 looked at the microbiome found in your gut. The microbiome are the genes that encode all of the microbes found inside the human body. The microbiome is shaped by the foods you eat and some doctors think that it can affect everything from how well you deal with anxiety, how well you lose weight, to how well you perform in bed.

The study which took samples from over 10,000 people seemed to lead some credibility to our microbiomes wide spreading effect. It showed people with various mental disorders (i.e. depression, PTSD, etc) had similar biomes. The more plants you ate the more diverse your biome was – the more different types of bacteria you had living within you.
